How to print boreholes and traces

MEGS_log can produce a print out of the boreholes and traces that are currently open.

  1. If you want to include any boreholes in the printout then open them in the appropriate borehole fields. If you only want to print a single borehole you can open it in either of the two fields.
  2. If you want to include geophysical traces in your print out, then open the trace files and set the appearance of the traces on the MEGS_Log display to match what you want to see on the print out. This includes the colour and visibility of the trace lines, the field that each trace will be displayed in, the minimum and maximum range of each trace and trace filtering.
  3. Set the display scale to the desired value, using the Scale command on the View menu or the Set Scale toolbar icon (Set Scale toolbar icon).
  4. Use the Page Setup command under the File menu to show the Page Setup dialog box. Use this dialog to specify which borehole and trace fields you want to print, and the number of times those fields will be repeated across each page (the number of print columns). You can also specify the margins for the page and the titles or logo to use in the print title box.
  5. Use the Print Setup command under the File menu to show the Print Setup dialog box. Select the printer that you want to use and the paper size, source and orientation.
  6. If you want to preview the print out then use the Print Preview command under the File menu.
  7. Use the Print command under the File menu to show the Print dialog box. Specify the range of pages that you want to print, and then click the Ok button to start the print job.
