About Us

MEGMS was established by Marianne Harvey in early 2007. The business is based on the purchase of the geological modeling and associated computing activities of Rod Davis’s highly regarded MEGS consultancy group.

Marianne Harvey, Principal Consultant of MEGMS, is a geology graduate of James Cook University of North Queensland. She has 13 years’ diverse experience in regional exploration and open pit/underground mining in both minerals and coal.

Marianne has specialist skills in geological and resource modeling of coal and base metal deposits in exploration, feasibility and operational environments. Much expertise in stratigraphic interpretation and correlation has been gained by Marianne from various large projects worked on throughout her career.

Consulting work is undertaken by Marianne on clients’ sites, or in-house using MEGMS own software licences and supporting hardware.  Marianne also has experience in the quantification of geological uncertainty in coal resource estimation, and the application of geostatistics for quality/grade prediction.

Marianne has a solid understanding of mine planning practices from her time in mine geology roles.  She also has experience in implementing new systems at sites, and particularly enjoys helping planning teams to get the best out of their geological data.

MEGMS, through Marianne’s abilities, produces timely and high quality outcomes, building strong professional relationships with its clients.
